Me too! it would be great for the colony. We could have sunflower and corn oil. Could also make castor oil, I think. I know it has to be cold pressed.

Yeah, sunflower oil would be pretty easy I think, though I watched a youtube video and the sunflower oil was very dark but just imagine how much use this would get in a colony situation because unless...

I think oil would keep better than lard, and sunflower oil is great for the skin. It's easily absorbed, so it's a good base for my salve. Hard to find it anymore, though.

I just wish they weren't so expensive. The cheapest one that I saw was $120. Not sure I could get Phil excited enough about making oil to spend that much money on it, lol. But I sure would love to...

Yeah, I'll work on that pig and goat next spring when I have all the empty pens but then again I want to do at least 25 meat birds too so we'll see what I manage to fit in and how the raccoon...

The video I watched on youtube, they didn't bother to hull them. But like I said, the oil was very dark and maybe they just didn't know what they were doing.
